Learning new techniques.
It's been a while since I made a blog post so thought I should update you all on what I have been working on. I have completed 3 hats since my last post. Two of the hats were patterns and I followed and one was of my own design. I had learned how to do a back cross double crochet and decided I wanted to make a hat with that stitch for my daughter who is living in another state. Her birthday is at the end of the month. I completed that hat and attached a cute little crocheted butterfly applique to it and it turned out really cute. Then decided to make her another hat. I'm hoping she loves the hats.
Next I have been fiddling around with a design in my head for a cute babydoll shirt for my older daughter. I was given some mohair and decided to use it with some regular yarn to crochet a shirt for her. Once I get this design worked out, I'll type it up and see if I can get a couple of testers to test that pattern out for me. Hopefully I will have a camera by that time so I can post some pictures of my work. As of right now, I'm finishing two afghans and knitting a shawl. I tend to work on hats as I work on my bigger projects so that I may break up some of the monotony that comes with big projects.
Also, I have found Swagbucks. I have been earning their currency by watching videos, playing games, searching through their search engine and survey's throughout the day while I work on my crochet projects. I am really enjoying this as I can redeem my swagbucks for gift cards for places like amazon, walmart, etc. I have a banner at the end of my posts, if any of you would like a way to earn some little extra freebies while you work on your projects, whatever they may be.

Crocheting My Day Away!
Hi Folks,
This is my attempt to keep up with a blog. I have been crocheting since I was a child. However, I didn't really start projects and finish them until long after I became an adult. When my children were small, I got into crocheting doilies as they were quick projects that I could finish in a few days if time allowed me to work on them. Now, I have trouble with the small hooks and tiny threads. I have been working on various projects. I have made a few afghans, scarves and a few hats. I am hoping to be able to sell some of my projects. I will get pictures of items posted as soon as I am able to get them taken and loaded onto my computer.
I plan to document my different projects. Link to other websites featuring crochet patterns. I also would like to open myself up for commissioned work. Meaning if there is a hat, afghan or scarf you would like made for you, I would be more than happy to discuss what you would like made and come to a reasonable fee for services.
Thanks :)
Eva
